This painting reimagines my father’s eldest sister in her twenties, reflecting on how Western education reshaped Igbo identity. Once a symbol of success, it came at the cost of our language, community, and culture. The Agada gbachiri uzọ wrapper and orange earth honor our heritage, resilience, and the call to remember who we are.
