Sincerely speaking

This painting explores memory. Inspired by what would have a been a random thanksgiving Sunday with visitors/church members at home in around 2005, the simplicity of pre-digital Nigeria and how different life was then. 

I grew up in a strict Nigerian Christian household, my parents being active church leaders and marriage counselors hosted meetings like this often times in our parlor.
